The transition from teenagehood to adulthood is very complex.

You stop directly depending on your parents and face how screwed up you are and how messed up the world is. You learn to live by yourself and take care of your mental health because people will drain the heck out of you.

Your family isn't really who you thought they are. Close friends become your family and well some family members become strangers.

Do you know that no one is ever truly there for you? There is a lot of unpacking to do. Like damn, I just got here what did I do??? Even if you are 30, 40 this place (adulthood) will mess you up. No matter how old you are, you keep learning something new from this "hood."

I don't have adulthood figured out; so far I know that: Firstly, my mental health is crucial. If something or someone is draining me mentally and emotionally I have to let it go. No bad vibes here!

Secondly, self-love is a must. Love yourself, spoil yourself, it's okay to say no... Prayer is your backbone. Keep God posted about what is going on in your life.
